This
month, I have not really any new
books to recommend, as I myself, have
been reading some old and trusted favourites.I
can get a bit lost from time to time,
get too busy to remember my Divine origin,
then the angels come along and remind
me and I take out some old books that
have helped me so much, just to get myself
back on track again.
I
am reading some Emmet Fox and some John
Randolph Price, both at the same time!
A bit of one and then a bit of the other
just before I go to sleep so that their
inspiring messages can permeate my brain
while I am sleeping.
John
Randolph Price's book EMPOWERMENT (there
is nothing that you cannot do, be or have)
is so underlined, annotated and thumbed
by me that the cover is coming loose and
the pages are beginning to fall out. But
it keeps me on track. Published by Quartus
ISBN 0-942082-12-5. I haven't got a website
for him because this book was long before
websites, but I do know that if you google
Quartus Foundation you'll find them.
And
the other one I am currently reading to
give myself a bit of spiritual 'oomph'
is POWER THROUGH CONSTRUCTIVE THINKING
by Emmet Fox. Both are a bit Christian
biased, so if you are a non-Christian
you may at first balk a bit, but read
on and you will see that they are really
multi-faith. They were both written(especially
Fox)at a time when it was politically
correct in America to have a certain Christian
bias. Emmet Fox was back in the thirties........just
shows how perennial these philosophies
are! Emmet Fox has written many inspiring
books and agin, if you google him, you
can read all about him.

This
is one great book, but I was hesitatant
to review it here, for the simple reason
that there is a whole chapter on me in
it and modesty forbade the review for
that reason. Yet, I could not deprive
Karen Sawyer of the credit and recommendation
due to her for this very interesting book.
The chapter on me aside, I took it to
bed with me and couldn't bear to turn
off the light before reading' just one
more chapter' and then 'just another'.
For
over two years, the author met and entered
into profound dialogue with some remarkable
people from a wide variety of disciplines
and regions of the world. she interviewd
An Icelandic Druid, a Norwegian shaman,
an aboriginal Jewish shaman, a 'curandera'
from Mexico, an Eskimo elder, a Scottish
witch, an Egyptian Sufi,a Native American
medicine man from the Lakota Nation as
well as such well known people as Leo
Rutherford, Denise Linn, the Barefoot
Doctor, William Bloom etc., etc.,
The
book is published by 'O' books and if
you look on their website you can read
more about it.
There
is a section on how you too can connect
with your own Soul Companions or Spirit
Guides. You can learn to recognise the
signs and talk with the spirit beings
guiding your life.

HANDLE WITH PRAYER.

"This beautiful and uplifting book

cover. I have read the book and have been
putting the suggestions into practice
and now I am reading it again. It's so
good. Alan shows a way of praying constructively
to get the things we want in life. he
also talks about why God actually wants
us to have our desires fulfilled and shows
us how to go about it. At the beginning
of the book there is a lovely story about
four children of a king, but I won't spoil
it for you by telling you. Read it for
yourself, you'll love it. You won't want
to put this book down. I want to buy it
for all my friends.

is possible to read the hands of babies
, it is extremely difficult to get them
to open their palms. Toddlers can be very
restless and it is not easy to
get them to stay still for long enough
to get a really good look at their hands.They

I had already read Eckhart Tolle's book
'The Power of Now' which I am sure many
of you are familiar with. I thought it
was great, so when a friend sent
me his latest book for my birthday in
December, I put down the novel I was reading
and got started on A New Earth.
It is brilliant. Totally right for this
time we live in. It about awakening to
our life's purpose. He says "We
all have the power to make a difference,
a new Earth begins with a new you".
The
book talks about the current state of
humanity, finding out who you truly are
and breaking free to go beyond our limitations.
As the blurb on the inside cover states
"Tolle lifts the veil of fear that
has hung over humanity during this millennium,
and shines an illuminating light leading
to happiness and health that every reader
can follow."
I couldn't put it down!

came across a great book on my last trip
to Hong Kong. I always have a peruse of
the books available at The New Age Shop
where I work as they usually have the
latest in.
WHY YOUR LIFE SUCKS.

read his book "The Power of Prayer"
some time ago and was very impressed.
So, of course, I picked this one up and
I am impressed again.
He says "When your life sucks, it's
a wake-up call - an invitation to do something
different. "To really live, let go
of any idea that anything outside of you
determines your destiny. The force that
determines your destiny is you".
Dump
the concept of luck. Lucky people attract
positive events because they think lucky.
What you dwell on, you dwell in"
"Fate

fortune; it is garden you cultivate by
the thoughts you attend to. Shift your
attention and you will shift your life.
Ongoing
pain arrives not by the hand of a wrathful
God exacting vengeance; it is a statement

to be loved"

!!! Great stuff !! "Rather

I
felt so empowered by this book and highly
recommend it.

One
chapter in this book deals with THE LORD'S
PRAYER, The Great Prayer Emmet
Fox calls it. He goes through it sentence
by sentence and explains it. I have found
a whole new insight on it. He says it
is fruitless to just gabble our way through
prayers and not to think of what they
mean. Just saying The Lords Prayers with
thoughtfulness and meaning gives it a
whole new slant. With understanding of
what we are saying, when we say this prayer,
it is the only prayer we need !!! It's
all in it. Jesus created a prayer for
all times and all conditions and even
if one is not Christian, this prayer can
in now way offend anyone's belief systems.
But the book isn't only about the Lord's
Prayer, there are many wonderful essays
in it, including what he calls The Golden
key, a method of overcoming any problem
or condition. And it works! I so love
The Golden Key that I have ordered copies
for all my friends and any client who
comes to me with what seems to be an insoluble
problem. That particular essay from the
book can be bought separately as an essay
on it's own. I bought it through a bookshop,
but there may be a website or Amazon.com
may be able to acquire it for you.
This
is a book I take everywhere with me.
