THE LIVING MATRIX (DVD)

My recommendation for 'Book of the Month' this month is a D.V.D !!

This D.V.D is to me quite mind blowing. I have now seen it three times and each time I see it I seem to see some aspect that I did not see previously. This is cutting edge science and I just wish every doctor could see it. It is a bold and revolutionary look into the science of healing and it is taking the world by storm.

According to Dr Marilyn Schlitz of The Institute of Noetic Sciences, Lynne McTaggart author of The Field and The Intention Experiment, Dr Bruce Lipton who wrote The Biology of Belief and many others on the cutting edge of biological science, we're in a medical revolution, moving from a disease-centered orientation to a healing-centered orientation.

Disease can simply be a lack of appropriate information or a scambling of the information we have. Our bodies are looking for----and healing happens as a result of--------unscrambling that information.

The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity.

This book is a very old classic, read and re-read by thousands of people over the last several decades and quoted in many books on achieving prosperity in life. I read it many years ago and at that time found it to be hugely helpful. I felt I needed to read it again. I highly recommend it.Whenever I have practiced what the book says, I seem to attract Abundance in every way. You may find the 'Christian' aspect of it challenging. But see it as an ancient teaching , using age old truths and secrets.

There's good news: there are dynamic laws of prosperity that you can follow in your journey toward achieving life abundance and prosperity. In understanding how to attract prosperity into your life, understand that there are two aspects to the whole concept.

Firstly, you must learn the dynamic laws of prosperity. You need the knowledge of what it takes to achieve the reality you seek. Secondly, you must practice prosperity. On a daily basis, your thoughts and feelings must arise out of your "laws of prosperity" knowledge. Like any change you seek in life, doing must follow the knowing.

HANDLE WITH PRAYER. By Alan Cohen.

I reviewed this book in 2008, but have put it back here as I am reading it again. It really is, to me, an amazing book. It inspires me to want to go to one of his retreats in Mauai this year, so that is going on my wish lit for 2010

"This beautiful and uplifting book can help you create miracles and open new doors to well-being in every aspect of your life", so states the back cover. I have read the book and have been putting the suggestions into practice and now I am reading it again. It's so good. Alan shows a way of praying constructively to get the things we want in life. he also talks about why God actually wants us to have our desires fulfilled and shows us how to go about it. At the beginning of the book there is a lovely story about four children of a king, but I won't spoil it for you by telling you. Read it for yourself, you'll love it. You won't want to put this book down. I want to buy it for all my friends.

I had already read Eckhart Tolle's book 'The Power of Now' which I am sure many of you are familiar with. I thought it was great, so when a  friend sent me his latest book for my birthday in December, I put down the novel I was reading and got started on A  New Earth. It is brilliant. Totally right for this time we live in. It about awakening to our life's purpose.  He says "We all have the power to make a difference, a new Earth begins with a new you".

The book talks about the current state of humanity, finding out who you truly are and breaking free to go beyond our limitations. As the blurb on the inside cover states "Tolle lifts the veil of fear that has hung over humanity during this millennium, and shines an illuminating light leading to happiness and health that every reader can follow."

I couldn't put it down!

Despite the naughty and , perhaps for some, challenging title, this is a hugely spiritual book. The gist of it is about moving from operating from ego, letting go and handing over to the all powerful Higher Self which resides deep in each and every one of us.

The book came about through my own experience, where I had a 'defining moment' which has really changed my life. I want to share this with others.

I believe that we are all Divine Beings, children of God/Source, and as such should really be enjoying lives of health, abundance and happiness. But, look around...we are not exactly doing that. I have always wanted to be the best possible person I could be, to have the best and to enjoy what I believe is our Divine birthright. But I was far from all that in my life. For years I searched through many pathways to find the answer. I went on courses and workshops, saw loads of therapists, read all the self-help books, listened to the C.D's, made the affirmations and , yet, I was making slow progress if any.

The about two years ago, one morning I woke up and as I was facing some new challenge, I thought 'what course can I go on, what book can I read to help me to achieve success?'. That thought was quickly followed by my defining moment when I shrugged my shouldres, used the good old Anglo-Saxon expletive F**K IT and surrendered to Something Greater than my ego. From that moment, my life changed dramatically for the better and continues to be filled with miracles. I felt I had to share it.

This is one great book, but I was hesitatant to review it here, for the simple reason that there is a whole chapter on me in it and modesty forbade the review for that reason. Yet, I could not deprive Karen Sawyer of the credit and recommendation due to her for this very interesting book. The chapter on me aside, I took it to bed with me and couldn't bear to turn off the light before reading' just one more chapter' and then 'just another'.

For over two years, the author met and entered into profound dialogue with some remarkable people from a wide variety of disciplines and regions of the world. she interviewd An Icelandic Druid, a Norwegian shaman, an aboriginal Jewish shaman, a 'curandera' from Mexico, an Eskimo elder, a Scottish witch, an Egyptian Sufi,a Native American medicine man from the Lakota Nation as well as such well known people as Leo Rutherford, Denise Linn, the Barefoot Doctor, William Bloom etc., etc.,

Toddlers can be very restless and it is not easy to get them to stay still for long enough to get a really good look at their hands.They need to be at least FOUR years old.

One chapter in this book deals with THE LORD'S PRAYER, The Great Prayer Emmet Fox calls it. He goes through it sentence by sentence and explains it. I have found a whole new insight on it. He says it is fruitless to just gabble our way through prayers and not to think of what they mean. Just saying The Lords Prayers with thoughtfulness and meaning gives it a whole new slant. With understanding of what we are saying, when we say this prayer, it is the only prayer we need !!! It's all in it. Jesus created a prayer for all times and all conditions and even if one is not Christian, this prayer can in no way offend anyone's belief systems.

But the book isn't only about the Lord's Prayer, there are many wonderful essays in it, including what he calls The Golden key, a method of overcoming any problem or condition. And it works! I so love The Golden Key that I have ordered copies for all my friends and any client who comes to me with what seems to be an insoluble problem. That particular essay from the book can be bought separately as an essay on it's own. I bought it through a bookshop, but there may be a website or Amazon.com may be able to acquire it for you.
