As I have many new readers of my website, I have agreed to start at the very beginning with the Teachings About Angels, so apologies to those who have read all this before.

ANGELS.

Angels have of course been around for a very long time: in fact since the dawn of creation. They were written about by the ancient Egyptians, the Christian mystics, and are part of the teachings and tradition of both the Jews and Muslims. The name Angel comes from the Greek word angelos, meaning messenger (of God) Other cultures and religions also recognise these spirit beings, although they may have different names for them, like devas or personal gods.

It would be arrogant indeed of us humans to think that we are the only sentient beings to dwell in the Universe!

Not only have angels been written about but they have been seen by many sensitives down through the ages. In our more modern culture, however, angels have been relegated to the realms of the fanciful, like Santa Claus or fairies at the bottom of the garden.

Just recently, however, there has been a tremendous resurgence of interest in angels. In fact, there is a glorious 'outbreak' of interest in these Angelic beings. Everywhere one looks there are angel paraphernalia, angel cards, angel calendars, angel Christmas ornaments, angel pictures and statues, even specialist shops selling mostly angel gifts. In America, there have been TV. programmes devoted to recounting the experiences of people who have had real-life Angel encounters. Also in America, there is a delightful little bi-monthly magazine called 'Angels on Earth', it is entirely devoted to first hand accounts of peoples encounters with angels; they tell their stories of where angels have appeared at times of crisis and so many stories of where angels have actually saved peoples lives. Everywhere one looks there are Angel workshops and seminars. Books about angels fill the shelves in metaphysical bookstores and in main-stream bookstores now too. There is even a World Angel Day in October. Surf the web and you will find Angel websites and even Angel chat-rooms.

WHY ANGELS AND WHY NOW?

Like all of Creation, mankind is evolving. Many great seers, prophets and visionaries have foretold a major shift in mankind's consciousness; a great evolutionary step forward. This mega shift or change has been mentioned by the Hopi and many other Native American tribes; the ancient Buddhist teachings; the Brahma Kumaris and the Mayan prophecies all speak of this change to come. The general gist of these predictions is that between now and the year 2012 we are to make a quantum leap forward in our consciousness. Some call it 'the Ascension' and some refer to it as 'the Awakening'.

There is certainly something going on! Everywhere, there is an explosion in the desire to grow, to move forwards and upwards spiritually and in regard to personal growth. As we live on a planet of duality, where we have day and night, up and down, hot and cold, good and bad etc, there seems to be a polarisation going on. It is as if 'the good are getting gooder and the bad are getting badder' I wonder if this is the meaning behind the separation of the sheep and the goats as mentioned in Revelations in the bible, regarding the 'end days'. Some, of course, talk about the end of the world, but the predictions speak not of the end of the world, but of the end of mankind's sojourn in the darkness of victimhood and limitation and the move to a more glorious and new way of being.

In these times it would be easy to get despondent, as it is the bad news that makes the headlines and would fill us with fear. the good news is there too; all over the world Lightworkers and Starseeds are working, powerfully and unobtrusively to raise the planetary vibrations. it is sad that all this good news does not make the front pages of our newspapers, nor is it headline news on our T.V. screens. There are vested interests that would not have it so. However, the good news IS spreading quietly and stealthily through it's own network of Light and Love. IT IS UNSTOPPABLE!

Our brothers/ sisters, the Angels draw closer to us as never before., to help us to make this great leap forward and they find every means at their disposal to remind us of who we are. It is time now for us to remember our Divine natures, to connect with and work towards establishing the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

The Angels will assist us every step of the way. Now is the time for us to cast off the shackles of outmoded creeds and limiting belief systems that have kept us in bondage for thousands of years. It is a time for us to step from victim-hood to Mastery; time to awaken to our real nature.

The wonderful thing, too, about this interest in Angels is that it unites rather than divides us. With our various religious affiliations we can feel separate and different, but in our belief in angels we are all of the same mind. I did an Angel Workshop in Hong Kong some time ago and was delighted to find a wide range of religious beliefs among the participants. We were made up of Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Parsees and Taoists. We all had a truly delightful day connecting not only with the angels but with one another.

THE ANGELS ARE HERE TO INSPIRE, SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE US.

When we ask the angles for assistance and invite them into our lives, they will gently nudge us whenever we slip back into our old behaviour and old ways of thinking. They earnestly want us to make this great stride forwards. All of heaven watches with interest what we will do.

Many great teachers have incarnated down through the centuries to teach us and prepare us for this time; Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, Moses, Zoroaster and many others. In different words, to suit the time and the people they were addressing, they have all said more or less the same thing. They have encouraged us to turn away from our limited beliefs and to turn towards the Divine.

Jesus said "Know ye not that ye are Gods and sons of the Most High".

We have all fallen asleep. We see but the faint shadow of the glorious reality that awaits us. The angels live in that reality all the time and wish to share it with us. They know that at this time we are ready to step forward and they hold out their helping hands.

"He hath given His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands lest thou dash thy foot against a stone" Psalm 91:11 &12

Having made the journey outwards and away from Source, we are now turning around and making the journey back. The Angels and all of Heaven rejoice.

Because we believe, and have been taught to believe, in the illusion of lack and limitation......the maya of the senses.................... we have fought and killed one another to possess what we believed were limited resources. We have seen ourselves as victims of disease, poverty and death. the very teachings of the Great Masters, who came to awaken us, have been distorted. When Jesus said "I am come that ye may have life, and have it more abundantly", he then went on to teach some powerful metaphysical truths. In the centuries after his death, his teachings have been manipulated and distorted and two thousand years later, we are still asleep and unaware!

NOW.

Now is the Age of Aquarius..........time to wake up! The veil between the worlds is thinning. Since The Harmonic Convergence in August '87 there has been a great in-pouring of light on the planet. Our vibrations are being raised. The beginning of the long awaited Ascension is taking place. In the raising of our vibrations and the conscious lowering of theirs on the part of the angels, we are feeling their presence more and more. Where once it was the prerogative of the mystic to see or be aware of the presence of angels, now it is happening for 'ordinary' men and women. Those who are visual are actually seeing angels, but even if we do not have visual evidence of their presence, we are becoming more and more aware that they are close.

Angels help us in all kinds of ways, not just in the bigger things in life, but in all the little everyday things too. Unlike us, angels do not judge. To them, there is no distinction between what we see as the important things of life or what we would judge as trivial. They love to be of service and will come to our assistance when we call. They delight in making life easier for us, and whether it is to keep us safe when flying, whispering the knowledge to us to help us with an exam, easing our our love tangles or finding a parking space when needed, they help in every way they can. I  have found that whenever I have lost or mislaid something, if I ask the angels to help me find it, without fail it turns up within minutes.

I find too that Angelic protection is the best insurance I can have for my home or any other of my possessions. I travel a lot because of my work and before I leave my house, I always ask the angels to look after it while I am away. They certainly do. It is so important to thank them too when we return.

There is hardly any area of life where we cannot benefit from the angels help and intervention. They will help us to make peace with those with whom we have had altercations, make peace with our past, help us overcome food cravings or allergies, screen us from phone calls when we don't want to be disturbed.................the list is endless. We can ask them to help us with the big things of life too, as they have the ability to see the overall picture and can access information which is inaccessible to us. When we cannot see our way forward in life, if we ask the angels we will be given directions. When our relationships are experiencing difficulties, we ask the angels for guidance and then await inspiration.

Sometimes we ask ourselves "What am I here for"?. "Why have I incarnated and what is my mission in life"? When we sit in meditation and consciously connect with the angels and ask the question from our heart, the answer will always come. It may not come immediately or in the way we expect, but it will always be given us.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

In the beginning was Source. (God, Allah, Creator, All-that-Is, Great Mystery, Higher Power or you may have your own name) There was just the Source. In itself, it could not know itself, so it burst out of itself into uncountable  fragments or sparks of Light. This event may be called Creation, Genesis, The Big Bang, or The out-breathing of Brahma - - there are many ways of describing this extraordinary occurrence. No words and no description can truly describe it as it is beyond our human understanding.

Some of these fragments took on a very low and dense vibration to become physical matter and became the physical reality of the universe. The slower the vibration, the more dense the matter. The intelligences of these fragments became completely solidified and trapped in density.

Other fragments of The Source remained free and played about in the universe, rejoicing in creation and having fun. They played about for eons. Some of these fragments, or units of consciousness, became curious about the world of the physical and they decided to explore. They donned garments of light physical matter. Over a period of time, they became more and more enamoured of the physical and their light bodies became more and more dense. So dense did their bodies become that they began to forget their Source. Those beings are us, and Oh Boy!, are we not enamoured of the physical. Indeed it is all some of us will believe in! Many, many of us have completely forgotten our origin. Some have retained a hazy memory. Instead of our previous state of androgyny, once we got caught up in the wheel of  birth and rebirth, we also became male and female.

 In the first mention of creation in Genesis, it is said man was made in the image and likeness of God. The second reference to creation of mankind says 'male and female he created them'. Coming into this physical existence, we knew polarity; male and female, space and time, dark and light. We became subject to the laws of physical existence. WE entered the dominion of polarities. We ate of the tree of good and evil. This was The Fall. We fell from our state of pure bliss to one of contrasts.

This would not have been all bad if we remembered who we were and why we had come. We had come out of curiosity, to play and have fun with matter and to add to the experiences of Source, for we were still fragments of Source. In reality, there is still only one of us. We are all Source. We forgot. We forgot who we were. We began to see ourselves as limited and finite. Over time we took on a belief in limitation of every kind; scarcity, poverty, sickness and death and saw in these illusions the only reality. We became worshippers of the Satan of the senses.

 As we were still fragments of Source (even if we had forgotten it) we still had the powers of creation, but because of our limited beliefs, we created more and more limitation for ourselves. Even our bodies, which once were truly glorious, became more and more dense and our quality of life deteriorated. From the Garden of Eden, which we first encountered when we decided to explore physicality, our existence degenerated into what we have today; fear, lack, sickness and death.

From time to time, a fragment of Source which had not yet been in the physical would incarnate to try to help us and redeem us, or one of us would evolve sufficiently to remember his/ her origin and try to remind the rest of us, but so attached to our physical illusions and erroneous beliefs had we become that their teachings fell on deaf ears.

 WHO ARE THE ANGELS?

There were those fragments of Source which had not become curious about physical reality. Those are the angels.They never re-incarnated in human form, althought they can manipulate physical atoms to take on the appearance of being human. They never became subject to the illusions of good and evil, light and dark. They remained eternally in the light. They did not forget Source nor who they were.They remained in a state of bliss and pure unconditional love. They love us - -their brothers and sisters--- and want to help us to return to the place of our true reality.

There have been many great teachers and enlightened ones and Christed ones and Bodisattvas, who through their efforts have helped to raise the vibrations of the collective consciousness, that a light, however small a glimmer, has begun to dawn. We are waking up from our long sleep : our memory is returning. Slowly, but surely, we are remembering who we are.

For each one of us who remembers, he/she is remembering for the whole. There is only one of us.

As you give to the least of these, my little ones, you give unto me. Jesus.

The angels reach down from the high vibration of their state of pure bliss-- love---to help us up.

As we attempt to raise our own vibrations by casting off our attachments, we lift ourselves even higher. Our goal is non-attachment. It is the only way to get ourselves off the wheel of birth and re-birth so that we may leave behind the polarities of the state of Illusion.

Even when we die and our light body leaves the physical, we have become so attached to our loves and hates and our possessions, that we can hardly wait to put on the garment of yet another physical body. So we return, time after time after time. Yet, there awaits us a much more glorious reality. The angels are here to help.

AS INDIVIDUALS WHAT CAN WE DO ?

Do you not sometimes feel that there is a part of you that is not involved in it all ? A part of you that observes your own self sometimes making a complete ass of yourself ? That part of you that asks "What on earth am I doing ?"

That part is what I call The Witness Self. It is detached. It even sees the humour of it all. You know those times when we can look at ourselves and we laugh at ourselves as we say " Another fine mess I've got myself into" If we can live from The Witness Self, not taking ourselves or anyone else too seriously, we are well on our way to non-attachment. If we can be objective, rather than subjective, about our experiences, then we have almost 'cracked it'.

The more we free ourselves from the bondage of the race-mind and the collective thinking, the more we free ourselves. And as we free ourselves, we become The Way, The Truth and The Light for others to follow. Since there is really only one of us, every time any one fragment escapes the entrapment, it loosens the bonds that hold the rest in thrall.

It is happening. The fetters are loosening. We are moving up to join the angels.

GUARDIAN ANGELS

In Christian, Jewish and Muslim tradition it is taught that we each have a Guardian Angel. In some eastern belief systems, these beings are called Personal Gods. In ancient Greece these Guardian Spirits were known as Daemons (not to be confused with demons). The Native American culture also believes in guardian spirits which take the form of totem animals.

From the moment of our conception, an angel takes it upon himself/herself to be our companion.Babies, smiling and gurgling are actually talking to their angels as those little children have not yet been educated out of the idea of angels.By the way, angels do not have to be male or female as they do not reproduce like we do. They are pure spirit; without physical form and are androgenous. Their male /female aspects are in perfect balance. Each angel takes it upon herself to be by our side to guide, guard, educate, enlighten and help us to wake up to our true identity. Of course, if we are unaware of them or don't listen to them , they really have their work cut out ! Even the most unaware people in the world have a Guardiam Angel. From a human perspective, we would think that it must be very disheartening for the angel of such a person. However, angels are dispassionate, so they are unlikely to be upset as we humans would be, and they do not judge.

Over the years, in my work as a psychic, I have been privileged to see many peoples Guardian Angels. Although they are not male or female as such, I do denote certain differences in the energy fields of these beautiful beings, which leads me to describe them as 'him' or 'her'. They express on these different vibrational fields, perhaps to compliment or to balance out the energy of the human with whom they are working. I sometimes see them as vague light forms, other times they are very clear indeed. They also express thgemselves in different colour ranges, Always......always.....the energy from them is one of pure love and acceptance.

WHAT DO THEY LOOK LIKE ?

Angels can arrange their energy patterns to appear in any way they want. Usually, they are of human appearance. I think that they appear humanlike to us so that we will not be frightened. As the Native Americans were so connected to the Nature kingdom, it seems natural that the angels would appear to them as animals.In our arragance, we think that looking human is the be-all and end-all ! The angels who appear to us in human form are generally tall and full of light. From their heads come waves of undulating light which gives the appearances of wings. Indeed, sometimes they will appear to us with feathered wings because that is what we expect of them. They are very accomodating.

In my Angel workshops I do an exercise to help people to meet their Guardian Angel. (This is also on my C.D ...click on button Monthly Meditation for details) Some of the workshop participants reported seeing the usual idea of an angel...a being with wings, while others saw a ball of light. Those who were visual or clairvoyant, saw their angels in great detail, while those who were clairsentient just ' felt' the presence but were still very sure that they had made contact. The clair-audient ones heard sweet music or the rush of wings. Others felt energies of pure love surrounding and embracing them. Invariably, everyone felt, saw or heard something. It is important on our first attempt to make contact , not to try too hard. Trying too hard only shuts us down. Being in a relaxed state of expectancy and open-ness is a far better approach.

During this exercise, I suggest to people that they ask their angels name. Having a name to connect with can make future attempts easier. As people expect their angels to have very exotic names they are often surprised when the angels come up with a name that is very ordinary. A young man who was attending one of my angel workshops was very disappointed when he asked his angels name and was told it was Brian ! Why not ? Many report that their angel is called Michael, they the wonder if is THE Michael......Archangel Michael ? I am inclined to think that there are some angels who work on the Michael vibration. Angels, like us, are individual fragments of Source, but in the end , there is only ONE of us.

When doing this exercise to connect with your Guardian Angel you may meet your Grandfather, your dead Mother or some other loved one who has pased away. They are NOT your Guardian Angel. They have been able to connect with you because of your altered state of consciousness. They wish to make contact with you for whatever reason, but they are not angels. Remember, angels have not ever lived in human form. We do, however, have many other spirits around us, helping us. They may be our guides or departed loved ones who wish to communicate with us. In this altered state of awareness, we may also encounter highly evolved teachers or Ascended Masters who have chosen to be our guides in this incarnation. These guides may change from time to time, like teachers at school. They will leave when we have learned a particular lesson and will be replaced by another teacher/guide who has a new lesson for us to learn.

Our Guardian Angel stays with us all the time from conception to the time after our death when we assess our life lessons and our lifetimes progress.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

Our Guardian Angels never judge us. Remember, angels exist above and beyond the polarities of good and evil.They see all with pure unconditional love. Never think to yourself 'My angel will be cross with me' or even 'My angel will be proud of me'. They are beyond such considerations. They view all with loving compassion and are not attached to outcomes. Their only desire is to help, to teach, to guide, to protect and to help us to return to Source.

PRAYER TO GUARDIAN ANGEL.

Oh Angel of God, My Guardian dear,

To whom God's love, commits me here,

Ever this night (or day)

Please be at my side,

to light, to guard, to heal , to teach and guide.

We can also say this prayer for our loved ones i.e. Oh Angel of God So-and so's Guardian dear.....etc.

Those we love may not have the time or the inclination to pray to their Guardian Angels. We can do it for them as an act of love. It produces amazing results. I know from experience.

FEBRUARY 2011.ANGEL HIERARCHY.

For me, the primary aspect of connecting with angels is one of love. It is essentially a heart connection or a soul link.

However, many of us like to get our heads around things. We like to analyse, to dissect and to have lots of bits of knowledge and information.There are many, many books written about angels. They even give conflicting information, maybe because of the perception of the particular writer or because the information being chanelled became distorted by the belief system of the chaneller.

The most consistent of the writings talk about a Hierarchy of Angels. I take this to mean that some angels dwell on different vibrations and the ones nearest Source are on a very high vibration indeed, whereas the ones nearest our human existence are on a much slower or lower frequency. According to a 6th century philospoher, Dionysius, who probably chanelled the information, there are nine different levels or 'choirs'of angels. The nine are divided into three 'triads'.
